Spring is springing, which means the last book in the Rosedale Seasons series is releasing soon! To get ready, here’s a recap of what’s happened so far in the series. This is a series of interconnected stand-alones, which means each book is about a different couple and can be enjoyed by itself, but if you read them all, you get to see the entire world of Rosedale take shape, with cameos from your favorite characters.
The unofficial first book in this series is His Coffee Shop Crush, the first book I wrote that takes place in charming, small-town Rosedale, Connecticut. This is Jack and Pete’s story—Jack’s an author of middle-grade book series called Super Rupert, and Pete is the cute barista he meets while hiding out in Rosedale trying to finish his latest book. It turns out Pete isn’t just a barista, which complicates their instant attraction. If you haven’t read this one, I know you’ll love it.
Rosedale was so popular with readers that I decided to write more in this universe, which led to me writing a bridge story, Backyard Wedding, which you should have gotten for free when you signed up for this newsletter. If you didn’t, and you want to read about Jack and Pete’s wedding and get a preview of the characters who show up in the rest of the Rosedale Seasons books, click here to download for free!
Now it’s summer, and Jack’s cousin Beck and Pete’s friend Van are accidentally both housesitting for them while they’re on their honeymoon. Cool for the Summer is a roommates-to-lovers story and features cookie baking, poker playing, sunning by the pool, a cute dog, and two guys who get together against their better judgement.
When fall rolls around, Autumn Crush is here to reunite old friends. Except when they first meet after years apart, Charlie doesn’t recognize Drew and Drew doesn’t know how to bring up the fact that he used to have a huge crush on Charlie in high school. As they reconnect and help each other deal with different kinds of grief, there’s also bike riding, cookie eating, and watching B movies in bed.
The weather turns colder, driving the heroes of Winter Under the Covers under the warmth of Shay’s quilt. Shay works at Rosedale Flowers and More, while Connor works next door at his mom’s veterinary practice. This winter fling story features some family drama, game night, Valentine’s Day, prom memories, and pecan bars.
And finally, A Small Town Spring brings us the story of Kingston James. Kingston is Jack’s book agent and has appeared in almost every single other story in the series. When he meets artist Toby Wheaton at a party, he’s struck with insta-lust. Unfortunately, Toby is not on the market. When that changes, they’re too deep into their friendship to turn things physical—or are they? I’m super excited to share this book with you—you can preorder it now—even though I’m shocked that this series is already coming to a close. But don’t worry, I have ideas for another Rosedale series that are percolating as I type.
Thanks for reading and I’d love to know which of the Rosedale stories is your favorite so far! Comment or email me!
xoxo,
Elle
